ProtecPac news

July 5, 2006 - ProtecPac acquires TAP in Germany

Montreal, Quebec, Canada - ProtecPac today acquired TAP Telion-Air-Pac Gesellschaft fur Moderne Verpackungen mbH in Braunschweig, Germany, from Sweden-based Fagerdala World Foams AB. Terms of the deal remain undisclosed

TAP specializes in the production of bubble film and bubble mailers, and already holds a substantial share of the western European market. It was the first company in the world to produce bubble mailers without using any medium (PE coating, adhesive, etc.) between the paper and the bubble film. This production process ensures easy separation of film and paper and compliance with packaging waste regulations in Europe that require materials to be separated for recycling

Protecpac

ProtecPac is a manufacturer who is active in two very distinct markets; protective packaging and the construction industry.

ProtecPac offers a wide range of protective packaging materials which are used within many different applications and industries. Our products can offer surface protection, cushioning, blocking and bracing, or void fill packaging during storage and transit.

ProtecPac offers also products which are used within the construction industry, either within new buildings or during home improvements. For instance, we offer many different underlayment products to be used with laminate flooring, and also products like foam sill plate gasket.

ProtecPac was spun-off from Induspac on the eve of the millennium, and has more than doubled in size during the last few years. Our base is in Canada, but today we are also active in the Northeast and Midwest of the USA. We are privately owned and proud of that; our parent company has been in business since 1977 and today remains under the same ownership!
